Linux & Open Source

An alternative package does not of course mean that it works in the same way as the paid application. But often the differences are not insurmountable. What you often miss are the application families, such as Microsoft Office, that are coordinated with each other. Although LibreOffice has followed his example well in this case.
You have to decide for yourself whether it is an advantage or disadvantage, but often there are several open source applications available that do the same task. It is up to you to choose the right package. Since there are no costs involved, only time, you can try it out to your heart's content.
The purpose of this group is to promote the use of open source software, but also hardware. Moreover, the goal is to assist members of our club in the selection and use of the above software.
